This adorable boy is Wynn. He is 14-weeks-old and has a soft shorthaired coat. Wynn is at a foster home, not at our shelter. His foster says "Wynn is probably one of the best kittens I have ever fostered. He is sweet and affectionate and playful and silly and entertaining. Life hasn’t been easy for Wynn. He was born a single kitten to a young mom who really didn’t know how to mother. She ruled with an iron fist and there were times I thought he wasn’t going to survive it, but he did not want to be taken away from his mommy. What she taught him was to be resilient and tough and to not let anybody push you around. What I am teaching him is to love and to soften and to trust. And he is a little sponge. Wynn was born with a disability called swimmer syndrome, which he has fully grown out of now but for the first several weeks of his life, he could not use his back legs. He and I worked together every day tirelessly on strengthening his back legs and teaching him mobility. This kitten is a trooper and if I had room, I would be making a forever home for him right here. He is also a great morning snuggler!" Wynn is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and healthy. Zorro is our longest resident at DAWS and has been here for four years. During that time, this 70 lb. six-year-old shepherd mix has been working very hard on training and we believe his time has come to find his furever home! Back in 2019, when Zorro first arrived to DAWS after being saved from a high kill shelter in Kentucky, he began developing some behavioral challenges, making it difficult to find him the right home. Through extensive training, Zorro has proved himself to be a pup that can develop solid friendships with humans, and even befriend select dogs. Zorro has been trained using treats and he eagerly sits, lies down and gives a paw on command. He’s done very well with car rides. He has enjoyed many hikes, walks, and play-time with his volunteer team. Time and time again, he has shown what a good boy he is, he just needs to find that special person! With a dog like Zorro, he will need a very specific adopter...
